Our skid plates are designed specifically for TJ, CJmodels with tanks up to 20 gallons. Unlike the stock tin shield that comes with your Jeep, which provides minimal bottom protection and no side protection, our units deliver comprehensive coverage where you need it most.

Skid is built from 3/16" sides, with 4 cut outs to let water and dirt exit from the skid. It uses the factory tank strap and mounting holes for bolt up.
You gain a 1/4" of clearance from the differential.
Some CJs require you to drill 2 outer holes in the front cross member for mounting.

For a Non-Body Lifted jeep, you will gain 3/4" additional clearance with this skid. And a 1/4 inch of shock clearance on the driver side.
The Lifted version will gain about 1 to 1-1/2" of ground clearance and a 1/4" to more at the differential, plus the shock clearance.
